The holidays ask you to be merry. Grief does not care what month it is.
If you are walking into December carrying a loss, whether it happened this year or years ago, this is a room built for that. Not to fix it. Not to rush you through it. Just to give you somewhere honest to put it before the season asks you to smile again.
There will be an empty chair at someone's table this year. Maybe at yours. We are going to sit with that together, on purpose, in a room where nobody will tell you they are in a better place or that everything happens for a reason.
What the afternoon looks like
Seventy five minutes, twelve women, and a room with the door closed. We will write more than we talk, and nothing you write has to be shared.
- Guided journaling through the parts of grief that do not get said out loud
- A quiet moment where each woman says a name, if she wants to
- Two minutes of being genuinely heard, with a partner, without advice
- Practical language for the questions that catch you off guard at gatherings
- Scripture that sits with grief rather than hurrying it along
Your ticket includes your own copy of The Healing Girl, a faith-based workbook for grief, loss, and becoming. It is yours to take home and keep working through long after the room empties.
You will also leave with a workshop journal, written for this afternoon, including a seven day guide for the week that follows.
Who this is for
Any woman carrying a loss into this season. A partner, a parent, a grandparent, a child, a friend. A marriage. A version of your life that is not coming back. Grief does not only come from funerals, and you do not have to justify yours to be in this room.
You do not need to have it together. You do not need to know what to say. You do not need to cry, and you are welcome to.
What this is not
This is not therapy, and it is not grief counseling. I am not a licensed clinician. This is a reflective, faith-centered space led by a woman who has walked her own grief and wrote it down. If you are in crisis, please reach out for real time support. In the United States you can call or text 988 at any hour.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.Psalm 147:3
